Our Origins

Our group is based in Western Massachusetts in the Pioneer Valley.

We initially met at Welcome Yule, a Midwinter Celebration that continues the ancient celebration of the return of the light in the depths of the cold midwinter season.. We incorporated a Molly dance in the show and enjoyed it enough to develop a Molly team.

Many of our members have belonged to local Morris teams including Guiding Star Clog Morris, Wake Robin Morris and Juggler Meadow Morris Men. Others are first time Morris/Molly dancers.

When asked why we dance there are many reasons. For some it is part spiritual for others it is an excuse to get together and hoist a pint after practice.

Our team is co-ed and we practice on Monday nights.
